Parent-led application

The first decision is whether the programme fits—not whether you can pay.

A parent or legal guardian begins the enquiry. Josh then speaks with the parent and teenager before deciding whether a Foundation place should be offered.

Before you apply

The Foundation may be suitable when:

  • Your son is aged 14–16 for the Founding Beta.
  • He is broadly functioning but would benefit from greater structure, accountability, habits, confidence or direction.
  • He can identify at least one meaningful thing he wants to improve.
  • He is willing to participate in a respectful small group.
  • You understand that PM&D is developmental mentorship, not clinical treatment.

It may not be suitable when:

A different service is needed.

  • The teenager is being forced to attend as punishment.
  • There is an immediate safety concern or mental-health crisis.
  • The primary need is diagnosis, therapy, medical treatment or specialist support.
  • The family expects Josh to “fix” the teenager without his participation.
  • The teenager cannot safely or appropriately take part in a group setting.

Start the conversation

Email Josh with five brief pieces of information.

This keeps the first enquiry parent-led and avoids asking a minor to submit personal information through the public website.

  1. Your name and your son’s age
  2. What has prompted you to contact PM&D
  3. What your son might want to change or work towards
  4. Whether he knows you are making the enquiry
  5. Any practical access or scheduling needs for an initial conversation
01

Parent enquiry

Josh reviews the context and checks whether a conversation is appropriate.

02

Parent conversation

Needs, expectations, scope, safeguarding and practical fit are discussed.

03

Teen conversation

The teenager hears what the programme involves and decides whether he wants to participate.

04

Place offered

If the fit is right on both sides, the family receives the cohort details and onboarding steps.
